Becoming a Member
In today’s modern political environment it is essential for sector groups to unite and pool resources so their issues are researched and presented to decision makers at the highest levels.
At a fundamental level effective representation is a key element in the health of any sector and can mean the difference between long term growth and even survival of the sector as a whole.
HealthCare Providers NZ has been established to better represent members at a national level and to provide improved membership services
The idea for the organisation came about in 2004 following a strategic decision by Residential Care New Zealand and the NZ Private Hospitals Association (NZPHA) to combine forces in order to improve the services members require from a representative association.
In aged care the new organisation is working to solve the present funding crisis and is focused on preventing similar situations from occurring again. We will also endeavour to minimise moves by the government and DHBs that may undermine your operation through increased compliance costs. The organisation will continue to promote the message that residential care is an important community service which needs to be funded on a sustainable basis.
