Simon O’Dowd

Simon O’Dowd owns and operates Alpine View in Christchurch. He has been a long standing member of industry associations and is the current Chairman.

Simon has a long association in the residential care sector and considerable experience in the organisation. He is involved in many areas of the sector, be it through the negotiations for the ARC contract or in training of aged care staff through his involvement in an ITO.

Simon believes that everything that can be done must be done to protect and promote the sector. He was a key driver in the establishment of HealthCare Providers New Zealand and believes the sector needs to be as united as possible in order to achieve a sustainable funding base for the future.
