Nell Dawson

Nell is currently General Manager of Matua Lifecare, Tauranga

Prior to this position Nell held a senior management position in the Bay of Plenty District Health Board provider arm (Pacific Health). In this position held for four years she managed Medical Services across the region including Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals. Included in this was Services for Older People. It was a regional role and included visiting services.

Before the District Health Board formation she was involved in the amalgamation of the two hospitals. Prior positions held at Western Bay Health included Manager of Allied Health, Manager of Services for Older People (SOP) and finally Manager of Medicine, which included SOP.

Nell comes from a Physiotherapy background but has spent the last ten years in Health Management. She is currently Branch Chair for HCPNZ and is Chairman of the Bay Health Foundation (A Charitable Trust).
